Easy to learn and use software for creating, editing,
and finding notes.
Use Notebox to write, edit, and find notes. It is a graphical user
interface (GUI) application that's easy to learn and use, and that runs
on Windows, Linux, and *BSD.
Notebox is free open source software (FOSS) licensed under the GNU
General Public License version 3 (GPLv3).
Notebox comes with no warranty and no guarantees. And, of course, you
are welcome to let us know any bugs you find and/or fix.
- Use your package manager to ensure that Python 3.6 (or later),
APSW, and PySide 2 for Qt 5.12 (or later) are all installed,
along with all their dependencies.

Unpack the tarball wherever you want, e.g., using tar xvfz
The executable is notebox.py. To make this runnable from
the command line, execute
chmod +x notebox.py
This will only work if Python 3.6+ is in your path. An alternative
is to create a tiny shell script, e.g.:
/your/path/to/bin/python3.6 /your/path/to/Notebox-x.y.z/notebox.py &
